13 PROVEN HABBITS TO REDUCE STRESS

Everyone has stress, because life isn’t something we totally control. The question is: Are you managing your stress, or has it mastered you?

The answer matters a lot for your health. If you’re stressed often over time, it puts you at risk for heart disease, depression, and other problems.

The key is to stop stress before it stops you. It’s simpler than you might think: Solve stressful problems when you can. And when you can’t, connect with other people, and get active.

Use these powerful tips to help keep stress at bay.

1- Ask yourself what you can do about the sources of your stress. Think through the pros and cons.

2-Take action where you can.

3-Keep a positive, realistic attitude. Accept that although you can’t control certain things, you’re in charge of how you respond.

4-Stand up for yourself in a polite way. Share your feelings, opinions, or beliefs, instead of becoming angry, defensive, or passive.

5-Learn and practice relaxation techniques. Try breathing exercises, meditation, prayer, yoga, or tai chi.

6-Exercise regularly. You’ll feel better and be more prepared to handle problems.

7-Eat healthy. Avoid too much sugar. Focus on fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean protein. When you’re stressed, you’ll probably want less-nutritious comfort foods, but if you overdo them, they’ll add to your problems.

8-Try to manage your time wisely.

9-Say no, where you can, to things that would add more stress to your life.

10-Make time for hobbies and interests.

11-Get enough rest and sleep. Your body needs time to recover from stressful events.

12-Don’t rely on alcohol, drugs, or food to help against stress. Ease up on caffeine, too.

13- Spend time with people you love.

If you are stuck and don’t know what to do Talk with a counselor or take a stress management class for more help. Sometimes having someone there to just listen to you it helps.

Educate
Educate.

Part of my mission is to make sure that people I work with to achieve their fitness goals are educated enough that they can continue their journey without needing me.

Motivate

I take pride in being able to give my clients the push they need to get where they want to be in terms of health and fitness.

Inspire
Inspire.

Embedded in my ethos is the desire to inspire my clients to want to be their best selves, without that, there is no reason to do what I do.

Why work with me?

I am not a salesman. Unlike many Personal Trainers in Essex, I care deeply about my clients progress and want to help get results quickly.

Personal training isn't about shouting at someone to make them exercise. For me it's about the ten years experience and knowledge I have behind me, which allows me to educate clients on how to quickly get where they want to be.
