Everyone thinks boot camps are the best thing. I think they are a good way to gain social support whilst working towards your health and fitness goals, but they are only good if you are fit enough and strong enough and you have the right balance and core strength in the first place.
It is crucial to go through stepping stones to get to that point in your fitness. I have personally observed people who like to take short cuts and rush things and it doesn’t end well most of the time. When you do this you never achieve your goals you set as in like dieting people want a quick fix! … This is just not possible on any realistic level.
I run professional boot camps and if I observe people struggling I will pull them to the side and explain or demonstrate what needs to be done or to go back a stage to help your progression.
I advise whole-heartedly that everybody should be able to take small stepping stones to get to that point, see it like a challenge or target, and see each challenge or target as a key step towards achieving a completely healthy lifestyle. Most important of all is to be patient and the results will come, rush things and you will never achieve your desired goals.
Always be sure to use and take the advice from a professional personal trainer, I have been doing this for nearly ten years now and experience is where it counts.
So ensure you have the correct foundation work done first before you attempt to train at an exercise class, as you will be keeping yourself safer in the long term whilst trying a different avenue to reach your health and fitness goals.
